Becky Wade’s Her One and Only

Her One and Only, the conclusion to the Porter Family series, DOES. NOT. DISAPPOINT.

Becky Wade wraps up this beloved series with a bang (literally – there’s an actual bang towards the end). But that is all I will say. If you want to know, go read the book! 🙂 As much as I love Bo, Ty, and Jake, Dru stole my heart from the get-go. She’s the baby of the Porter family, and with three former soldiers for brothers, she’s spent her life trying to prove herself. Between martial arts skills, time in the Marines, and a career as a bodyguard, I’d say Dru has proved herself and then some!

Her current assignment? Protecting Gray, a local NFL player, from a serious stalker. While not thrilled with the idea of a bodyguard, and a female one at that, Gray soon warms up to Dru – as his bodyguard, and as something more. Whooo-eee, this is one romance that’ll knock your reading glasses off!

I loved Dru’s character. She’s tough but still soft inside, where her heart for family, friends, and those in need is safely tucked away. Dru is an intriguing character that you’ll spend the whole novel getting to know. The stalker investigation is also interesting, as the rest of the Porter Family books don’t include a suspense element. You’ll learn a lot about both Dru and Gray from how they each handle that unknown danger.

Recommended for: fans of Becky Wade’s Porter Family series; those who enjoy inspirational romance with a touch of mystery; those who enjoy the work of Dani Pettrey and similar authors who effortlessly weave suspense, romance, and faith together.
