Rachel Hauck’s latest addition to her Royal Wedding Series is fabulous! We finally get Avery and Colin’s story, and in a lovely Christmastime romance to boot. This series remains one of my favorites, and A Royal Christmas Wedding is definitely worthy of joining its ranks.
I’ve loved Avery since we met her in Nathaniel and Susanna’s story, Once Upon a Prince. She is Susanna’s sweet, feisty baby sister, and she is perennially hopeful – except for the time she got her heart broken by Prince Colin of Brighton.
Colin fell for Avery almost immediately upon meeting her years ago, but he ultimately caved under the pressure of his father’s expectations and left her. When Avery visits Susanna and Nathaniel in Brighton for the holidays, she and Colin must face each other and the heartbreak of their past.
Avery is full of sass and spark, but she is vulnerable where Colin is concerned. That contrast will endear her to you. I found myself hoping for her happy ending, cheering her on as she and Colin navigated their renewed relationship. If you like second-chance stories and royal romances, you’ll love A Royal Christmas Wedding!
My rating: 5/5 stars
