Review: Irene Hannon’s Sandpiper Cove

51Iw-VKay7LI adore Irene Hannon’s inspirational suspense novels, but sometimes it’s nice to step away from that genre and enjoy an inspy romance without the drama and mystery. The Hope Harbor series is a lovely place to take a vacation from the suspense! 😉

In Sandpiper Cove, Adam Stone is a lonely ex-con trying to make a new start in Hope Harbor. His past is hard to hide in such a small town. Thankfully, most residents are welcoming and willing to accept Adam for who he is now. Including romance-shy police chief Lexie Graham, who finds herself drawn to Adam. Nothing too complicated about the former law-breaker dating the local police chief, right?

This is a sweet yet realistic tale of second chances. Both Lexie and Adam have a lot of pain and unresolved emotions in their pasts, and it seems like Hope Harbor is the place for starting over. Plus, who doesn’t love an appearance of Charley and his taco truck? (If you’ve read the preceding HH novels, you know Charley. If you haven’t, well, what’re you waiting for? An engraved invitation? It’s a TACO TRUCK. Get going already.)

If you like stories about redemption and a little romance, Sandpiper Cove is the book for you. It hits shelves this month, so go check it out!

My rating: 4/5 stars

Recommended for: fans of Irene Hannon; readers who favor inspy romance fiction or second-chance stories
